North Dallas provides access to an amazing array of options for sports, entertainment, light rail system and two major airports.  DFW International Airport is the world’s fourth busiest airport. Dallas Love Field offers several shuttle services to cities in and out of Texas. North Dallas is within minutes to downtown and within easy access to Fort Worth and vicinity. North Dallas is located is serviced by Dallas County as well as Collin County schools. 

 

Dallas is intersected by numerous freeways and toll roads making travel to various destination simple and hassle free. It is 900 square miles with over 100 miles of hard surface trails and a light rail system that rivals those in other cities including Boston and Philadelphia.  

 

Dallas, is a city of visionaries, entrepeneurs, and savvy inventors.   It is where the Slurpee, the integrated circuit, the single-chip microcomputer, and Liquid Paper were invented.

 

The following people were either born, raised or honed their skills in Dallas.  The list includes: Hall of Fame baseball player Ernie Banks, golfer Lee Trevino, Bugs Bunny creator Tex Avery, playwright Preston Jones, journalist James Lehrer, track star Michael Johnson, and musicians T-Bone Walker, Norah Jones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Edie Brickell, and Boz Scaggs.

 

It is home to world class teaching hospitals with an array of specialization and a hotbed of advances in medicine and genetics. Physics and chemistry are also part of this powerful mix yielding Nobel Prize winners… right here in Dallas.

-North Dallas is home to over 1.2 million people but manages to maintain it’s true Southern hospitality

-North Dallas has over 18 Fortune 500 companies headquarters.  The list includes Exxon Mobil; Southwest Airlines and Texas Instruments

-North Dallas has 15 zip codes

-North Dallas was originally designated as that area north of Forest Lane.  At that time, North Dallas was almost exclusively farm and ranch land. 

-North Dallas has steadily grown to now include all areas north of LBJ Freeway and continues to encompass more of the suburbs as the push goes northward. 

-Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) provides international and national travel. Over 600,000 flights and 58 million people utilize the airport.  It is the eighth busiest airport in the world
